Field Trip

I got to go with Madi yesterday on her field trip. Had lots of fun at the Desert Botanical Gardens!! We had never been before. A lot of plants, cactus and desert, but the butterfly garden was a highlight.  A butterfly landed on my giant belly! The kids thought it was pretty funny. Madi was able to get a pic, though she cut my face out. Madi really wanted a butterfly to land on her. She kept putting her arms out, but every time one flew by she would run away or hide behind me, lol!! Here are a few highlights from the day.

Easter Bunny Pic

We went and saw the Easter Bunny a few days before Easter. Usually Bella is terrified of any character in costume, and I assumed this trip would be the same. She wanted nothing to do with the Chick-fil-a cow 5 minutes before this pic. When it was our turn, she said "Hello Easter Bunny", and gave him a big hug. It was adorable, and we got a pretty good pic out of it. Madi, of course, loves all characters, and had no problems.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone. Of course the real reason for this wonderful holiday is to celebrate the sacrifice Jesus made for us! I am so grateful for this, and I make sure the girls know the real reason for the celebration. We have several books about the true meaning of Easter and the girls do know all about it, but of course they love the egg hunts and baskets too!


We did the usual Easter stuff egg coloring, we made cupcakes, and several egg hunts. I forgot to take pics of the egg coloring and cupcakes. Guess I was too busy having fun! Grandma sent a big care package with tons of stuff. The girls loved it.

We went to brunch with Pam and Tom on Easter morning. They had a great egg hunt at the country club where we had brunch.

Dancin Fool!!

We had several performances in February with Kinetic Energy. Madi loves performing and is really excited about trying out for the company/competition team next year. Bella is super excited to be able to join KE as a Mini Flip next year (starting age is 4). Anyway, here are some pics from some events.


This was a performance at Highland High. Miss Stephanie (one of Madi's teachers) is a cheerleader there. The girls danced at halftime of the boys varsity basketball game. Madi did so great, great facial expressions and energy, she is such a performer and loves being on stage.

We also had a performance at the Harlem Globetrotters game. This is our second year. It is such a fun day. All of the familiea are there cheering the girls on and the game is entertaining too! Cameras are not allowed during the perofrmance, but here are a few before and after.
