The Princess Pages: November 2011

Well, I have not posted for the whole month of September and most of October. I guess I have been too busy with life! Things have been busier around here since Madi started Kindergarten. We definitely have more of a routine than before, but, for me at least, way less time!! My work schedule revolves around their gymnastics and half days, no school days, etc. So, even when I have a day off we still have lots of stuff to do. Halloween week I don't think I sat down for more that 5 minutes, we had so much going on. I'm not exaggerating, ask my Mom, she was there!! Also, I have been making bows and necklaces on the side for people at school and gymnastics. Wish I could pay the bills this way so I could stay home!! Well, I am not complaining. I am so thankful for my family and that everyone is happy and healthy.

Madi is doing great in Kindergarten. She is learning so much. She can now count to 100 by 1's, 5's, and 10's. Also, she knows her letters and their sounds. Now, we are working on words and writing and recognizing all the numbers. It is a lot more than we were expected to know in Kindergarten, but we work with her each night for 15-30 minutes, and it is helping a lot. She has tons of friends!! Every day when I drop her off at school all kinds of kids come up and say hi or hug her, even older kids. She is such a social butterfly. Madilyn had her first performance with the Mini Flips (that is the performing dance team she is on at Angela's Flip Zone). They performed at the fair on November 2nd. I have a few pics to post here but I have a cute video to come (when I have more time). She did great, and looked so cute. She really enjoys the performance part of it and is adjusting better to having practice after school.

Bella is getting so big. She is talking so much and is a little stinker!! She is into everything. She is so curious and also a climber. If I am not paying attention, I will turn around and she will be on a chair getting into the fridge or cupboard!!She is more soft spoken and mellow than Madi, but she gets her point across when she needs to, and she has a little scream that she does when she throws a fit, it is loud!! She is so smart, too. She sings her abc's and can count to 13. Our time together when Madi is in school is so special. She definitely loves to be with me and wants me to hold her all the time. Billy swares that she is all over him when I'm at work or sleeping, but I think he is just jealous, jk :) We still have her binky and I don't have the heart to get rid of it yet ( for both our sakes!). I think we will start potty training soon, and I am not looking forward to that.

By the last day of October break they were feeling better so we went to IHOP for breakfast and the Zoo. Madi made the mask at a friends house and insisted on wearing it to breakfast!
